This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
Reporting to the Resident Care Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for filing, processing physician orders, distribution of reports, data entry on NSHiS, typing correspondence and reports using medical terminology, receipt and distribution of mail, maintaining workload and statistical data and other job related duties
- Grade 12
- One year Secretarial or Business course
- Medical Terminology Course
- One (1) year experience in the clerical field
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Good attendance and work record
- Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

Hours of Work
- Permanent, part-time (50%) position; 35 hours biweekly
$19.9858 – $21.7955/hourly
