Job description: Fu’s Sticks Co. (Miss Fu in Chengdu) is a popular Chinese restaurant at Richmond, BC. It serves up modern Szechuan eats and specializes in dishes like assorted Chengdu-style skewers. Since the opening of our restaurant, we always have long line up and numbers of media have reported our story. To adapt to the development of our restaurant, we are currently seeking a creative and driven sous-chef to join our team. We are looking forward to speaking with you!

Type: Full time, 2-year contract

Work hours: 40 hours/week, may request working during the weekends

Job duties:

– Work with the head chef to design the restaurant seasonal menu, develop new dishes and improve the flavour to suit local tastes;

– Identify the quality of ingredients, cook high-quality dishes and sauces in keeping with our restaurant standards;

– Inspect kitchens and food service areas;

– Train chefs and cooks to develop their skills and talents;

– Instruct and supervise cooks and kitchen helpers to prepare food and ensure productivity in the kitchen;

– Manage stock of ingredients and kitchen supplies, place orders when needed.


– High school graduation;

– With Trade Certificate of Chef in Chinese Food;

– 3 years of experience in preparing foods in a commercial environment

– Minimum 2-year kitchen supervisory experience as a chef/sous-chef in the same setting;

– Organized, ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and attention to details.
