Position: Broadcast Technician, Bell Media

Location: 1149 Goyeau St, Windsor (Ontario)

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week | Shift work, weekend work and overtime as required


To perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on all IT and Broadcast equipment as well as perform building maintenance functions in our television and Radio facilities. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

1. Equipment – installation, maintenance and repair of all types of Broadcast equipment including:

  • Non-linear editing/playout system
  • Audio Consoles/Wide Orbit Automation
  • Video cameras, production switchers, routing systems
  • Broadcast RF Transmission and Satellite Receiving Systems
  • Graphic creation systems including applications

2. IT support

  • End user set up and maintenance
  • IP based program delivery systems

3. Building Maintenance – general building repairs and maintenance duties, as assigned

4. Support Regional Operations Manager with:

  • Facilities management
  • Budgetary considerations


  • Electronics Technician or IT/Computer Engineering diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • 5-8 years technical experience in the IT/Broadcast industry
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent work follow-up and organization skills with attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of Broadcast Chains
  • Working knowledge of HD and SD broadcast equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience with analog and digital video / audio equipment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
