So, you may be wondering what this Bilingual Recovery Coordinator job is all about.

Working within our Contract Administration Team, the Bilingual Recovery Coordinator manages the efforts relating to severely past due accounts in order to minimize losses and secure collateral using our network of external recovery agents. You are responsible for negotiating equitable solutions to resolve a default of the contract. Sometimes this involves negotiating payments, issuing final notices, coordinating with external and internal partners and analyzing the situation to mitigate risk and minimize loss exposure.

Additionally, the Bilingual Recovery Coordinator will assist customers by responding to inquiries and providing excellent customer service. We are committed to training and development and ensure you have the support and tools to be successful in this role.

What you will deliver on:

  • Coordinate the account placements with dedicated list of external recovery agents (bailiffs, liquidators and other vendors) and monitors for performance
  • Work closely with external recovery agents to ensure adequate documentation is provided
  • Review, negotiate and manage recovery expenses
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for further escalation of accounts when required (i.e. write off, legal action)
  • Negotiate payment plans, settlements and equipment returns to maximize recoveries while minimizing expenses
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, collection/debt repayment and other regulatory standards, legislation and policies.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 2 years of experience in: Administration, Customer Service, Collections and/or Financial Services
  • Business Administration diploma or equivalent training
  • Fluent in English and French (written and verbal)
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keen attention to detail with proven experience maintaining accurate documentation
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, work independently and thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Capability to think proactively and resolve problems logically and efficiently
  • Intermediate in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn other applications and programs
  • Working knowledge of compliance laws pertaining to Collections would be considered a strong asset
